Hi. I'm Alistair Gardiner, Writer. Thanks for dropping by!

About me - well, I'm a (happily) retired optometrist enjoying my rebirth as a writer. As you might expect, my first book (Eyes Up) is about optometrists - if you've watched "All Creatures Great & Small" on telly, that's the flavour of Eyes Up. For my sins I was a home-visiting optometrist, which opens up the fictional possibilities greatly - as you'll see. (Cos you're even now searching desperately for "Eyes Up" on Amazon - aren't you? Oh, alright - onto my other books.)

Sam and Daisy are a pair of canny lasses who combine running a hotel with a private detective agency - these are "cozy mysteries" and they've had a great response from readers. There are four books available to date, and I'm busy writing the fifth as we speak.

My third and (only so far - believe me, there's more to come!) final creation is "The Con Woman", a thriller series. Dawn and Roger are wealthy siblings who also happen to be con artists. (With hearts of gold.) The first book in what is planned to be a trilogy is available now, the second will be out on 30th September, and the third approx 3 months after.

More about me: I live with my partner and three dogs - the two big bruisers on the right are Kirsty's and sweetie-pie on the left is mine. (In fact, we're one big happy family but those are the nominal distinctions.) I like to read (a lot) and intend getting around to posting some reading recommendations for you.
